Thomas Charles Hannon Memorial Field ("The Chuck") is Home Plate's brand new, state-of-the-art synthetic playing field , debuted in August 2009. It is named after Thomas Charles Hannon.

What makes "The Chuck" unique? Deluxe Athletics is excited to establish and install the first 100% synthetic turf baseball field with rubber-coated sand in the state of Georgia. The synthetic turf is designed to ensure the ball's trajectory, spin and receive an authentic hop off the surface. Also, the surface is scientifically engineered to fully maximize athletic performance and enhance player safety. Our new field will also serve as a multipurpose facility. Throughout the year, "The Chuck" will offer a variety of activities, clinics, field rentals, events, leagues, programs, and tournaments in sports that will include baseball, kickball, softball, flag football, soccer, lacrosse and additional related sports. In addition, the field will serve as a location for the "HP Home School Fitness Club" and the "HP After School Kids Club."
